about the designer

Judy Lee designed and sewed her first little coat in the Spring of 2008 when she was pregnant with her baby son. From one coat idea came another, as she drew from her work in print design, memories of her British-influenced childhood and her experience being a parent in Brooklyn to create a line of children’s outerwear that brings together the formal, stylish and fun. She works and lives in Brooklyn with her husband Shawn and their toddler Joshua.

Whether you’re shopping for your own child or purchasing a gift, we’re here to help. Please e-mail judy@halfdotbrooklyn.com with all your questions. As the designer and shopkeeper, I know these pieces inside and out, and I’d be happy to help you select the right Half Dot outerwear for your little one. We accept all major credit cards, with payments processed securely via Paypal.

Please let us know if you are purchasing an item as a gift: we will gift-wrap your item with a note from you (that you dictate to us) and keep you posted on when the item arrives at its destination.

All items are packed safely and securely upon departure from our studio.

Half Dot Brooklyn ships to locations within the United States as well as military (APO/FPO) addresses and the U.S. Territories for a flat shipping fee of $10.

All orders received are processed within 1 to 2 business days upon credit card validation. Orders shipped Standard Delivery will be delivered via UPS or USPS within 3 – 5 business days after your order has been processed. We will e-mail you with a tracking number and courier information when your package ships. Please contact us for expedited delivery rates if you need your item to arrive sooner.

Currently, we are unable to offer international shipping.

returns and exchanges

We hope that you and the child who wears our outerwear will be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return your purchase within 10 days of receiving it, in unused, unworn condition with all original tags and packaging, with a valid RMA number.

If you intend to return an item please first send an e-mail to judy@halfdotbrooklyn.com with your name, the item you are returning, and the reason for the return. We will then provide you with an RMA number, shipping instructions, and a prepaid label.

We’ll be happy to make exchanges provided the desired item(s) are in stock, or issue you a refund (minus original and return shipping charges) once we receive your return and inspect the item. Please note that your returned item must be in new, unworn and unwashed condition with original tags and packaging. Returned items sent our studio which show visible signs of wear and damage will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
